Mick Hennessy is The Last Act Players' resident comic engine and practical chaos merchant. A generous performer with excellent timing and a heroic disregard for planning, Mick can usually be found carrying something heavy, wearing the wrong jacket or insisting he knows "a better way" to rig a prop.
He is beloved by audiences for his warmth, energy and ability to turn a missed cue into something that looks almost deliberate. His roles often include innkeepers, inspectors, gravediggers, suspicious tradesmen and men who enter with vital information but have forgotten which pocket it is in.
Offstage, Mick is the sort of person who can mend a table, misplace a corpse dummy and cheer up an entire cast in the same ten minutes.
Every company needs someone who can save the day with gaffer tape and optimism. Unfortunately, Mick is also often the reason the day needs saving.
